Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly collaborative Associate Product Manager to join our team, with a focus on data platforms, DevOps enablement, and internal product operations. This role offers the opportunity to support product delivery, improve system and release workflows, and contribute to data-informed product decision-making across technical teams.
You’ll bring strong cross-functional partnership skills and a practical, execution-focused mindset, helping align stakeholders, engineers, and platform teams while keeping delivery details organized and outcomes visible.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working closely with technical teams, and are excited to grow in product management through data-driven planning, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with development, data, DevOps, and security teams to support delivery of platform and product initiatives, including data pipelines, internal tooling, and operational enablement.
- Translate business and technical needs into clear delivery artifacts, including user stories, technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and release readiness checklists.
- Maintain and communicate product documentation such as roadmaps, release plans, change logs, and operational runbooks, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Support backlog refinement and prioritization in Azure DevOps, including managing dependencies, tracking progress, and ensuring work is aligned to outcomes and measurable impact.
- Coordinate releases and operational readiness, working with technical teams to support CI/CD workflows, environment readiness, rollout planning, and post-release validation.
- Participate in testing and quality activities by validating requirements, supporting UAT, and helping ensure platform changes meet usability, reliability, and performance expectations.
- Gather and synthesize insights from internal teams and customers to inform product decisions, especially in areas related to data visibility, developer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Identify friction in product and delivery workflows and recommend improvements to processes, templates, tooling, and communication practices.
- Prepare technical-facing and leadership-ready updates, summarizing progress, risks, dependencies, operational impact, and recommendations.
- Use AI tools as a core part of day-to-day work, including research, analysis, documentation, and identifying patterns in user feedback and platform needs.
- Apply AI tools to improve product operations, decision-making, and delivery efficiency across the full product lifecycle.
What You’ll Need:
· 3+ years of experience in product management, product operations, business analysis, technical project coordination, or a similar role supporting software delivery.
· Experience working in a technical product environment, ideally involving data platforms, DevOps practices, internal tooling, APIs, or operational systems (insurance/insurtech experience is an asset).
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
· Strong ability to translate complex requirements into clear delivery artifacts, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and structured documentation.
· Proficiency with product and delivery tooling such as Azure DevOps (preferred), Jira, Asana, or similar, including backlog management and reporting.
· Working knowledge of Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), SDLC fundamentals, and cross-team dependency management.
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making using evidence and measurable outcomes.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to improve productivity across research, documentation, analysis, and planning.
